make your own buttermilk using nut milks, rice milk, soy milk, or regular cow’s milk.
- make sure whatever milk you are using is unsweetened.
- combine one tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice (i like vinegar better) with one cup milk of your choice.
- mix lightly with a whisk.
- let the mixture stand for 10 minutes – you may see curdles.
- use as directed.
